Why we have chosen breed of Staffordshire Bull Terrier:

Fascination appearance
We are fascinated by its perfect appearance of predator. Its look and muscles raise respect. This effect is superimposed during dog’s playing or hunting.

Character
Character is in contrast with its appearance. It’s their implicit love to all human beings which makes them awesome family member with big heart. In England – place of its origin – they are sometimes called „nanny“! You would vainly look for this breed in statistics of human being attacks!
On the contrary these dogs won’t probably be best watchdog because of their character they won’t distinguish possible thief. Possibly they would help him.
Also training of defence is adviced only in form of game because staffie naturally doesn’t understant why to bite some person.
Staffie is tenacious and courageous like a proper terrier, full of energy and big smile „from ear to ear“ :-) -
Breeding in a flat
It’s quite small breed so it comes in useful for breeding it in a flat. It’s even possible to say that flat suits them better than garden. First reason is their need of love and to be close to their owner and also thanks to their short hair which may be problem in cold weather.
About us – and our dogs
At present we have one bitch and one dog of Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Our kennel is completed by a bitch of Bolognese dog.
It’s interesting watch two dogs from same breed and observe differences of their behaviour because of personality of each individual.
We are absolutelly amazed by Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We understood quite early why are those dogs used a lot in animal assisted activities. They love to be close to people and also because of low threshold of pain they can endure some unintentional and harsh poke.
You also don’t have to worry that you overlie your staffie in bed. :-)
